Egyptian Day Year 4 had a wonderful day learning about Ancient Egypt.
The children arrived in their fantastic costumes, dressed as Tutankhamun, Cleopatra or even a Mummy.
We began our day with a quiz learning about Tutankhamun before creating 3D clay sculptures of King Tut.
We then learned about the gods and goddesses and how Cleopatra ruled Egypt and discovered her link to Rome and Julius Caesar. The children then created a mannequin of Cleopatra.
In the afternoon, the children sampled some Egyptian food - a huge thank you to the Friends of Stonebroom for their generous donation and Amaya's mum and dad for their delicious stuffed peppers and potatoes - they went down a treat!
We ended our day with a toilet roll, mummy competition.
We had a wonderful day and are looking forward to our South America arts and crafts day, next half term.
