Residential 2025-26

Lea Green

Day 1

We have had an amazing first day here at Lea Green!

We got stuck in straight away with orienteering around the site! The children had to race against each other to find all of the numbers using their maps to guide them to the right place!

After orienteering we went to find our rooms! We chose our beds and then we had the challenge of making our beds! With a little help from the teachers we all made our beds and have a cosy place to sleep tonight!

We took our bags up to the rooms and had a little bit of time to settle in, before going down in to the dinner hall to eat our packed lunches.

After lunch we got our selves dressed and ready for our afternoon activities!

Mrs. Beresford and Mr. Bath took the Year 5 children to get kitted out for stream walking, whilst the Year 6 children headed over to the low ropes and buggies with Mr. Moss and Miss Leonard.

All of the children showed resilience and made the staff super proud.

The children now have some leisure time and are looking forward to their tea of a chicken dinner with all the trimmings!

After tea, we will kit up once again to set off on our night hike!

The children (and staff) will definitely be ready to climb in to bed later on!

Take a look at our fantastic photos below!

Day 2

(Including Night Hike from Day 1)

We have all had another fantastic day here at Lea Green!

We started the day with a delicious breakfast of pancakes, berries and Biscoff sauce before heading out to our first activities.

Year 5, along with Mrs. Beresford and Mr. Bath headed off to do Low ropes, followed by Buggies. We had lots of fun racing in the buggies!

In the afternoon Year 5 completed the challenging Skyline and Crate stacking activity! They won the competition of tallest tower of the day!

Mr. Moss, Miss Leonard and the Year 6 children started out the day completing Skyline and Crate stacking, followed by the climbing tower in the afternoon.

We have just completed a night time game of rum smuggling! The teachers played against the children and had to try to catch them smuggling the rum!

We are all very tired and have just finished our hot chocolate and are now ready for bed!

We are excited for our final activity in the morning and to see our parents to share with them everything we have done!

Day 3

We have come to the end of an amazing three day residential and we are all sad to say goodbye to Lea Green, but the children were excited to see their parents and share their experiences!

We have made some amazing memories that will last us a life time!

Our last day started with a breakfast of cereal, followed by bacon, beans and toast to fuel us up for the day!

Year 5 headed off with Mrs. Beresford and Mr. Bath to tackle new heights at the climbing wall! Whilst Mr. Moss and Miss. Leonard headed out with the Year 6 children to tackle the stream walk on what was a very cold morning!

We are so very proud of how well behaved the children have been over the last three days and they showed bucket loads of confidence, determination and support for their peers.

We do hope they share their experiences with you once they have recovered and rested!

We can't wait to come back again!

Please find below our photos from the last day of our trip.
