THE STONEBROOM OLYMPICS

On Thursday 15th February, the Year 5 children will take part in Ancient Greek Day. As part of the day, the children will participate in the Stonebroom Olympic Games and we would like to invite parents/family members over the age of 18 to take part too.

Whilst the event will definitely take place during the afternoon of Thursday 15th February, a specific time cannot be given until Mr Walmsley knows how many adults will be attending.

This form will close on Friday 19th January to allow Mr Walmsley to plan the event. At this point, no further adults will be allowed to take part. He will then confirm the times of the event will all participants.

If you are interested in attending the event, please scan the QR code above or click on the following link (https://forms.office.com/e/cLme04M5P0) and complete the form.

If you require any further information about the event, please speak to Mr Walmsley.

THE CLOSING DATE FOR THIS IS FRIDAY 19TH JANUARY.

Added: Saturday 13th January

BIKEABILITY

On Thursday, the children took home a letter about Bikeability - this can be found on the letters page of the class website.

In Year 5, the children will complete Bikeability Level 1 which usually takes place on the school playground (if the children do go out on the road, it is when they are deemed safe to do so). In Year 6, they will then have the option to complete Bikeability Level 2.

To take part in the event, the children WILL NEED A BIKE - THESE ARE NOT PROVIDED FOR THEM. As they will be split into two groups, there is potential for the children to share a bike however permissions MUST be given by both sets of parents. Please speak directly to Mr Walmsley if this is an option that you would like to explore.

If your child would like to participate, please complete the form and return to myself (Mr Walmsley) or the school office.

If you have any other queries or questions about the event, please do not hesitate to contact school.
