Stonebroom Primary And Nursery School

Sheep Class have been visited by the Evil Pea and he has caused chaos in our classroom. He has trapped vegetables in a shopping basket and left his army of peas to stop them from escaping and he stole our snack. We decided to follow the pea trail and it led us to our outdoor area where we found Supertato's superhero costume, eaten fruit and our missing snack basket. 

Back in the classroom, we talked about where the Evil Pea might have come from and we decided that he could have escaped from the school kitchen. We came up with a list of questions that we could ask Jane (our school cook) and we had a go at writing them down. We also wrote letters to Supertato and drew pictures of all the clues we had found. 

In the afternoon, Jane came to our classroom and we asked her some questions to see if she had noticed anything suspicious in her kitchen. She told us that she was missing some peas, that her potato masher had disappeared and that there were big puddles on the floor. We were very excited to hear this!

Jane then told us she would make some jelly and leave it in the classroom as an Evil Pea trap (just like in the story). When we came back from PE we found a plate of jelly with one pea stuck inside!! We had caught the Evil Pea.

What a fantastic day!
