This week we investigated which material would be best to make a new coat for Captain Blackbeard.
Together we decided on a criteria for a good pirate coat. We decided it had to be comfortable to wear, strong enough to survive pirate battles and waterproof for when waves come overboard! We worked in pairs to make coats from plastic, fabric and paper. We then performed pirate duties to see how comfortable they were, we had pirate battles to test their strength and we poured water over the coats to see whether or not they were waterproof.
