I hope you have all had a fantastic Summer and are looking forward to the new term in front of us.
During the first few weeks of the term we will be helping our nursery children to settle in and to feel confident and ready to learn. We believe that to be able to do this effectively we need to know as much about them as possible. Therefore, our Autumn 1 topic is going to be exploring the question "Who lives in my house?".
We will be talking to the children about their family, their pets and their homes. We would like them to tell us about their interests and if they have any hobbies such as dancing, swimming, biking etc.
To help the children to talk about their family we would like the children to bring in to school photos of themselves with their family members. These could include parents, siblings, grandparents and pets. It would be helpful if any photos sent into school were sent in a named envelope and handed to a member of the nursery staff.
Alternatively, you could email your photo to info@stonebroom.derbyshire.sch.uk and I will print it off for you.
