This week was Safety Week at Stonebroom Primary & Nursery School.
The children learned about keeping safe in different situations including: road safety, the emergency services, internet safety, electrical safety, fire safety, safety in forest schools & water safety.
Year 2 & 6 were visited by the Fire Brigade, and were taught all about fire safety.
All children took part in workshops led by the Derbyshire County Council Road Safety Team.
We also celebrated ‘Safer Internet Day’ on Tuesday 5th February 2019 with the rest of the world—the slogan was “Together for a better internet’ -a call to action for all stakeholders to join together and play their part in creating a better internet for everyone, and especially younger users.
We held a ‘Keep Safe On The Internet’ competition. The winners all received books and their posters displayed in the IT suite.
