Safety Week 2020

The week commencing 10th February 2020  was ‘Safety Week’.The children learned about keeping safe in different situations including: road safety, the fire service, people who help us, safety at home, staying safe online, safety within the school & Forest School safety.
Visitors included the Fire Service and Derbyshire County council who led road safety workshops.
We also celebrated ‘Safer Internet Day’ on Tuesday 11th February with the rest of the world—the slogan was “Together for a Better Internet’ -an opportunity to spark a conversation about the safe and responsible use of technology and to inspire young
people to create a better internet for the future.
We  held a ‘Keep Safe On The Internet’ competition. The winners received books and their posters displayed in the IT suite.

Please be aware that we have arranged for Traci Good, an online safety advisor, mentor & trainer, to come and deliver training to our pupils, staff and parents on Thursday 30th April 2020.
We will send more details closer to the time, but please keep this date free in your diary. The aim of the training is to raise awareness and give empowerment and ideas to implement at home.
It promises to be an eye opening session.
