We have had a lovely first two days back in the giraffe class. 

This afternoon, the class completed their year 3 self portraits. Each year, every class starts their art book off with a portrait, and we saw some good improvements from year 2! Please see pictures on their class page. 

We are hoping to get accelerated reader set up for everyone by the end of the week. When we have, reading records and books will be sent home, along with TTRS passwords, and EDshed passwords for spelling homework. We will be doing a spelling test every Friday, with new spellings sent home each Friday for the following week. Spellings will be sent home from this Friday. 

In year 3, we do the 'reading wheel'. If your child has in their reading record that they have read x5 times each week (which should be roughly 30 minutes total over the week) then they will earn x3 merits and go on the reading wheel. One lucky winner from the wheel will win an extra prize each week. We will check reading records every Monday.
