Dear Year 4 Parents and Children

Hoping that you've all had a restful half term and are looking forward to the weeks ahead.

When the children return tomorrow we will be in the two week window to complete the Multiplication Timestables Check (MTC)  for the DfE for all children in Year 4. The children will complete the MTC online through a school IPAD at some point over the following 2 week window. They will have 25 questions from a random selection through the 12x12 timestables, with 6 seconds to answer each question.

Information about this check was shared during our parents' meeting in November but I have also attached an information booklet from the DfE below for you. Please encourage your child to practise their timestables using TTRS regulalrly during the two week period so they are able to do their best. Paper based homework was also sent home to support them just before the half term break.

Results will be shared with you a few weeks after the fortnight in complete, once they become available from the DfE.
