Meerkats - Forest School Science!17 October 2024 (by Mr Scott (meerkats)) |
We had a wonderful session in the forest on Monday.
This week we carried out our science investigation in Forest School. Finally the weather was on our side and we tested how flammable (one of our sticky words!) different materials were on a campfire. Thank you to Miss Thompson and Sam for building a great fire and then making popcorn and hot chocolate for a forest treat! Click on the link below to see some photos from our afternoon in the forest:
Please note - there will be no spellings handed out this week as we have an INSET day next week when we ususally do our test. Spellings will resume after half-term.
Our final Reading Buddy task was handed out today. Complete your reading sheet by next Thursday to take part in our Halloween treat. This is also the day of the spooky walk.
A change from our usual maths homework too! Homework this week will be a pre-learning task to prepare our meerkat minds for our next Big Question about continents and oceans. There is no need to hand this in until after half-term.
I look forward to meeting and chatting to grown-ups at parents evening next week.
Thank you,
Mr Scott
