Our Marvellous Mob's first week & a couple of notices.
Our new meerkat mob had a fantastic first week in Year 2 and I am very excited to be teaching such a clever bunch of pupils! In our first science lessons all of the meerkats showed what a great deal they know about materials and their properties already! After discussing different objects and what they are made from, we put on super specs and hunted around the classroom for evidence of different materials. We found lots of things and sorted and categorised them really well. We even discussed objects made from multiple materials. What super scientists! Reminders:
Our first P.E. lesson is on Monday afternoon. All pupils should have a P.E. kit in school please. Those with long hair should have it tied back and any pupil with pierced ears should ideally take out earrings for our lesson (much easier than taping them!).
Pupils first homework task will be on SeeSaw from Monday and should be completed by the following Monday.
Our first Reading Buddies homework will he handed out on Monday too. Pupils need to complete this each week to join in the class treat at the end of this half-term.
Letters for Cooking Club have been sent out letting you know who is in group 1 and 2. Group 1 begins on Monday after school until 4.30pm. Group 2 will do Cooking Club in November.
We've had a great first week in class and I look forward to more super learning next week!
