Today in our History lesson, we have been using some super vocabulary as we discovered the parts of a castle.
We learnt portcullis, barbican, battlements, moat, drawbridge, bailey and arrow loops. We also learnt how each of these parts helped the castle's defence against enemies. This afternoon we went outside and built our own castle ensuring we included all of these features and labelled the parts correctly. Take a look at some pictures by following the link below.
