This morning, the children were informed about a sporting event that will happen at school on Friday 10th May. Laura Samuel, an international athlete, who specialises in the triple jump will be attending our school.
Laura is a world junior silver medallist, 5x British Champion, Commonwealth games silver medallist and 3x indoor British champion. Her personal best is 14.09 metres, giving her the third best distance of British female athletes. When she comes into school, the children will be completing a circuit of exercises with her before she delivers an inspirational assembly talking about themes such as perseverance and resilience. For the circuit children will be sponsored therefore sponsor forms and a letter detailing the event will be sent out tonight. Sponsor forms and money must be in school by Friday 3rd May.
