This week Miss Rowland's reading and writing group have been working on the book 'The tunnel' by Anthony Browne.
We have had lots of fun participating in drama activities, for example a conscience alley where we had to argue whether Rose should follow her brother through the tunnel or not. Then we got in the character of Rose and Jack and crawled through our own tunnel- it was like a bushtucker trial as it was full of spiders, worms and slime! We then used this experience to write our own descriptions of our journey through the tunnel. We have produced some fantastic creative writing!
