    Year 1- Remembrance

9 November 2018 (by Miss Rowland (elephants))

This afternoon Elephant class have spent time thinking about Remembrance day. We used jelly babies to help us! Do you know that each jelly baby has a symbol to help us remember? We licked them and found the symbols.

    • The orange jelly baby is wearing a bag, showing a soldier ready for battle.
    • The black jelly baby has a heart,to represent us remembering them this Sunday.
    • The green jelly baby is crying, representing the sadness it can bring.
    • The red jelly baby is holding the letter B, representing the blood for those who died.
    • The pink is a baby, representing the soldier's families.
    • The yellow jelly baby wears a necklace to represent the items we wear today to remember them.

After this we made poppy biscuits to take home. We enjoyed using the red icing and chocolate buttons. See pictures using the link below.
