Over the past couple of weeks, the children have been learning some songs, syllables and notes in music.
The children have learned the following songs: Hickety, tickety bumble-bee, On the farmers apple tree, Hot cross buns and I like pizza.
On Tuesday we looked at do, re, mi, so and fa syllables, looked at the difference between a beat (which stays the same) and a rhythm (which changes) and learned the notes C (C can't see), B (bad hat B) and D (dangly D).
The children are really looking forward to learning how to play a trumpet in the following weeks, in which they will be performing what they have learned, in their class assembly.
