Thrilling match sees The Shining Diamonds take their first win over The Destroyers whilst The Furious Five take The Unicorn Squad apart.
In by far and away the most thrilling match of the competition so far, The Shining Diamonds overcame The Destroyers to take their first league victory of the season. The first two games of the match saw both end in a draw before the pivotal third game took place. In this one, thanks to some excellent dodging from Ella and Eve, the diamonds manage to eliminate all of The Destroyers, our youngest team in the league. The fourth game ended up being a draw again before the fifth and final game once again ended up in a draw. Thanks must go to Teegan and Chelsea who stepped up to help The Destroyers in this match.
In the other game, The Furious Five dominated against The Unicorn Squad, who after recent improvements really struggled to make ground. Throughout the five games of the match, the five never looked in any trouble as they made early eliminations through some excellent throwing from Asha, Lucy and Danielle - the latter stepping in to make sure the five had five players.
Next week sees The Unicorn Squad looking to bounce back against The Destroyers, who are in turn looking for their first win after two very close matches. But perhaps the biggest game of the afternoon will be the top of the league battle between The Jammy Dodgers and Payback.
