Dragons - First Aid13 October 2026 (by Mr Scott (meerkats)) |
Last week we had a class visit from Kirstie on the Mini First Aid team to teach us First Aid skills. We learnt how to check airways, deliver CPR, put someone in the recovery position and how to deal with burns, wounds, head bumps, nose bleeds and choking. Each pupil received a certificate for their great participation and skills practice.Click on the link below to see some pictures in our gallery:
Reminder – it is our ancient Greek day next Thursday (22nd October) when we will be focusing on our ancient Greek learning with some fun activities. We will be tasting some Greek foods as part of the day, if your child has an allergy or intolerance that the school office have not been informed about, please let me know. Pupils are invited to dress up ancient Greek style or wear blue and white (the colours of the Greek flag). If you have a costume from last year’s Roman Day, it will probably double up for ancient Greeks!
Some of our Dragons have met their Accelerated Reading targets for this term already. Well done to those keen readers! A reminder that pupils should be reading regularly each week and take their book quizzes to earn points towards their individual target. Our class treat will be some Halloween fun on the last day of term just before we do our spooky walk.
I look forward to seeing you next week at Parents Evening. If you have not yet booked an appointment, there are a couple of slots left.
Thank you,
Mr Scott.
