Shark Class - New Big Question
Hi all, I hope your children are well-rested and eager to start back at school. The mornings and evenings are getting lighter, the spring flowers are appearing and hopefully we'll see a little more sun and a little less rain.
This half term's big question is:
What animals would make the most effective hybrid creature?
It is an exciting unit which has a science based focus. The children always enjoy creating and writing about their imaginary creatures.
The home learning task is to create their own creature using elements from three different animals. This could be a model, fact sheet or even a digital or hand drawn representation.
The planning, timetable and knowledge organiser is available to view on our webpage - follow the link.
Hopefully, we'll be starting a dance unit in P.E on Thursday afternoons with an instructor, this could be street or similar to suit the children's interests. (I will confirm this on our return to school)
The next few months is a chance for your child to address any gaps in their learning and to get them ready for the SATs in May. There will be strong focus on Maths and English with a continuation of the booster/focus groups started last half term.
We look forward to seeing your children on Monday morning.
