Spring Term 2026
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and are enjoying the Christmas holidays.
We are beginning to look ahead to the Spring term and are excited to share our first Big Question of the year with you all.
Our Big Question for Spring 1 is
Do fairy tales always have a happy ending?
This term our main focus will be on Literacy.
We will be reading lots of traditional tales and learning all about the very famous characters that appear in them. We will try to decide which characters are good and which characters are bad.
We will use our imaginations and learn through the area of Expressive Arts and Design by taking part in role play and small world play.
There will be lots of opportunities for children to develop their Communication and Language skills throughout this term, as we will be doing lots of talking and lots of small group discussion will take place.
We will become story tellers and retell the stories from our memories and even have a go at changing parts of the story.
We will have lots of fun whilst learning about all of these very famous and enjoyable traditional tales.
Please explore the resources provided for you by following the link below to find out more about our learning this term. You will also find information about the vocabulary we will be introducing during this big question. There is also a pre-learning task for you to carry out with your child to help them with their learning.
If you have any questions or wish to contribute to our learning this term, please speak with a member of our Nursery team.
We hope you have a wonderful time celebrating the New Year and look forward to seeing you all next week! School reopens on Monday 5th January.
A polite reminder that Friday 9th January is our Trust Inset day and school will be closed to children on this day.
Thank you for your continued support.
Happy New Year!
