Competition: Random Acts of Kindness Calendar 202520 May 2025 (by Sam James (family support worker)) |
May is Mental Health Awareness Month! To celebrate, the children have been sent home with a random acts of kindness calendar. The 5 ways to wellbeing are incorporated.
To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, the children have been sent home with a random acts of kindness calendar. There are 31 activities the children can do to demonstrate kindness; whether it to be themselves, others or the environment. The 5 ways to wellbeing are incorporated within this.
The purpose of the calendar has been explained to the children, as well as how to enter the competition. They will complete as many of the activities as they can over the next 2 weeks and return it on Tuesday 3rd June (after half term). Their name and class must be written when handed in. All entries will be given a prize to recognise the efforts to promote kindness. Any child who completes all 31 activities will also be entered into a prize draw, where they will have the chance to win a bigger prize - a selection of wellbeing goodies! Each act of kindness MUST be witnessed and signed by an adult in school or at home. A photograph or physical copy of the written activities is needed. For example, 'write down 5 positive things about yourself'. Please send in any pictures of your child completing some of the acts of kindness as evidence to the email below, along with their name and class. Please note: you do not need to take a photograph of every activity.
