We have had a fantastic first day in Elephant class!
The children have impressed us with their wonderful positive attitudes, big smiles and super work today.
We started the day with some parachute games to get to know eachother, followed by some fantastic Maths art representing different numbers (these will be on display). This afternoon we started our Art topic and showed off our phonics. We learnt the sound 'ee, what can you see?' and made our own 'ee' digraph glasses. We have taken these home to practice this sound with our parents.
I can already tell we are going to have a fantastic year!
Today children have been sent home with two letters. One requires you to complete the information and return it as soon as possible- this letter allows your child to visit forest school and participate in trips away from school. The other letter contains your seesaw code. Please download the seesaw app asap as I will be popping notices and homework on there.
A reminder that the first phonics and maths homework will be set next Thursday and children will receive their reading books on Monday once we have had the opportunity to read with them all.
