Congratulations to all who represented Stonebroom Primary & Nursery School at the cross country competition yesterday.
Yesterday Mrs George & Mr Walmsley took 18 children to the local annual cross country competition at Morton. There were 9 schools competing, including some larger schools from out of the area.
The children were fantastic! They all tried their best and their attitude and behaviour made us extremely proud! The overall results of the tournament are as follows:
- Y3/4 Boys - 3rd Place
- Y5/6 Boys - 2nd Place
A huge well done to the following children who came in the top three of their own category:
- Y3/4 Girls - Lydia—2nd Place
- Y5/6 Boys - Jack—1st Place
- Y5/6 Boys - Harvey—2nd Place
- Y3/4 Boys - Ollie - 2nd Place
We are all so proud of each child who attended. A huge thank you to parents for supporting your child with this event too! The Y3/4 boys team and Y5/6 boys teams, Lydia, Jack, Harvey & Ollie will all be asked to represent our area in the Derbyshire cross country competition in April.
