We will be celebrating Jubilee Day on Thursday 26th May 2022
The day before we break up for half term (26th May), we will be celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee. Queen Elizabeth II will have been on the throne for 70 years and we will be celebrating this achievement by:
- Dressing up in red, white and blue OR wearing ‘royal’ clothes (princess dress, king outfit etc).
- Taking part in lots of royal activities on the morning of 26th May 2022.
- Taking part in a whole school assembly where we will share our learning and all sing ‘The National Anthem’ together.
- We will enjoy a whole school street party at lunchtime on the school playground—this will be followed by us all taking part in lawn games on the school field.
- At 2.30pm parents will be invited to come in and pick up their child—they can then go out onto the playground with their child and take part in lots of fun activities planned and run by the FoS (Friends of Stonebroom)—this will include eating scones and cream, face painting, raffle etc. (Don’t worry if you are not able to attend the FoS event—we will look after your child until you are able to pick them up at the usual time.)
- All children will be given a Jubilee Souvenir.
