Year 6 Update - This week & Easter

4 April 2022 (by J Walmsley (mr walmsley))

The following is an update for parents of children in Year 6.

    HOMEWORK

The children will be given their Big Question homework today (4th April).

As part of their revision, I will then put a 10 minute test on Seesaw each day (Monday to Friday). This will continue into the Easter holidays. In total there will be 15 activities.

Every child MUST complete 5 activities (totaling this week's homework) as it is their SATS revision. Should a child complete all 15 activities, I will give them 3 merits. These can be completed at the time that suits them but rewards will be given on MONDAY 25TH APRIL.

    P.E

There will be no P.E this week therefore the children will not need their P.E kit.

    FOREST SCHOOLS

    Tuesday Group - As normal.

Friday Group - The children will need their forest schools gear on Thursday afternoon as we are not in school on Friday.

    SATS DATES

Just a quick reminder to say that SATS week commences on Monday 9th May. It is important that your child attends. If you have any issues or concerns, please come and speak to me.

    YEAR 6 PRODUCTION

A date for your diary - the Year 6 production will take place on Thursday 14th July.

    EASTER EGG COMPETITION

The Easter egg competition takes places this Thursday. See the school website for further details.

    QUIZ NIGHT

The newly formed 'Friends of Stonebroom' are hosting a quiz night on Wednesday evening. It is £3 for adults and £2 for children.

    RAFFLE

The Friends of Stonebroom are hosting a raffle with many superb prizes. Tickets cost 50p each and are being sold on the school playground.

If I don't see you before, I hope you all have a superb holiday.

    Mr W.
